At this phase, your child tends to be reliable,
stable, and well-adjusted. Secure within himself; he is calm, friendly, and not
too demanding. He returns to the spirit of cooperation and desire for the
approval of others witch he showed at three, only on a higher level. Five is a
remarkable balance of qualities contained in one all-inclusive package.
Your child is now so ripe for learning!
An
out-of-bounds little monster!
At this age, your four-year-old will remind you of the child he was at two and a half; he is bossy, noisy, and aggressive, with changing moods and uncontrollable burst of energy. He is out-of-bounds in his behavior (Kicks and fits of rage), in his speaking (big fan of inappropriate words), in his personal relationships (defying, threatening and swearing), in his imagination (telling long fictions), and his sense of property (everything he sees is his). This phase is also marked by insecurity (biting nails, picking nose, sucking thumb, crying…) and incoordination (stumbling, fear of heights…).
The
golden age!
After the rebellion of age two, your youngster is now at peace with himself and the world. He’ll take pleasure in being cooperative and win your approval, whereas in first adolescence, it often seems as if a child’s sole pleasure in life consists of being uncooperative.
Scrolling down on my phone, my attention got caught by a controversy caused by a certain “Chikh” asserting that a working woman cannot possibly be a good mother. That same person then suggested a survey for men only to answer:
